L5100 Is on TV this Weekend

Check your local listings to see the L5100 on Hometime.

Starting this weekend, check out LYNX Touch 5100 and Honeywell Total Connect on PBS’ Hometime TV show. Hometime is one of the longest running home improvement shows on television and features remodeling projects, new construction and some of the latest technology on the market.

When I was contacted by Dean Johnson, the show’s creator, he put me in touch with Dave Olson of Norvado, an integrator located in Wisconsin.  Dave and his team did a fantastic job setting up this system in a 1990s vintage log cabin that was located at the southern edge of Lake Superior.

Local dates and times may vary for the airing. Please check it out here to find your local station.

This will be great exposure for an amazing system! I look forward to seeing what sensors/peripherals they used. Looks like at least a 5816, IPCAM-WO and a MID-7H.

This won’t be the first time a LYNX system made it on TV. I noticed on the popular series Homeland that Brody’s home has an older LYNXR security system and it can be seen in a few different scenes in the first season. You guys have to get Showtime an updated LYNX Touch to get with the times!
