Rick Volpe, the dealership director, can check in on his iPad from any location.

If you’ve ever visited a showroom for a new or used car, it’s obvious that these dealerships have invested a great deal.  Add the fact that a large fleet is on display outdoors day and night and the security concerns can overwhelm any owner.

How can a dealer protect his investment without being present every hour of operation? This was the question from Van Buren Buick GMC and Scanner Technologies provided the answer with Honeywell Total Connect Remote Services.

The dealership director’s previous system required him to be on-site to pull reports, add access codes or verify an incident. With Honeywell Total Connect, the management team could control the system remotely from any Internet connected device. This innovation now gives the director peace of mind since he can check in from his iPhone and iPad from anywhere, at any time.

Dean Mason covers the details of this solution in this month’s Security Products. Click here for the pdf to find out more about the installation and the future plans.
