Inquiring Minds Want to Know About the Connected Home

About three weeks ago, I was contacted by a feature reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer.  She wanted to speak to someone from Honeywell who could explain what is new and exciting in the area of home automation, security and the overall connected home space. We didn’t have to think too long about who could help us tell this story. Scott Harkins, president of Honeywell Security Products Americas, was the perfect fit. He is a great speaker, has a full command of the product offering and best of all – he’s from Philly!

The reporter also wanted to speak to someone who was out in the field, installing the technology in the greater Philadelphia area. Fortunately, there was a dealer I knew who would also be a perfect fit for this story. We worked with Andy Soloski from JM Resources on the DIY television network show called “Good, Better, Best” back in 2012. He installed our Tuxedo Touch controller in a renovated downtown row house project so he was very familiar with how an automated system can help a consumer live a more comfortable and convenient life.
