When I am visiting with dealers about sales support materials, some are overwhelmed with the variety of tools that are available. When confronted with this issue, I’ve learned that it’s not necessarily that we have too many tools, but that it could be difficult to figure out how best to use what’s available. Here’s a quick refresher on how to get started using the Honeywell Marketing Communications resources.

 1. Honeywell Dealer Toolkits
The starting point for any business owner or sales professional are the dealer toolkits. Within each product microsite is a wealth of information that offers everything a sales professional may need to sell or support a new product including video demonstrations, end user brochures, and product specifications. Business owners can use this site to find downloadable product images for the business website and manuals to train technicians. Visit the Tuxedo Touch, LYNX Touch 5100  and Honeywell Total Connect toolkits to see what’s available.

2. New Technology Support
Today, it’s more important than ever for companies to be up to date on the latest technology available, and Honeywell knows it. In my blog post Using Technology to Improve Sales, I discuss how our industry is using technology, like the iPad™ and Android tablet, to improve the sales process and give home and business owners a better understanding of what’s available. Honeywell Security is offering dealers and end users the opportunity to download demo apps, help guides, and the latest Honeywell catalogs using iTunes and the Google Play Store.

3. The Security Channel
One of the largest collections of videos created solely to support our industry, The Security Channel has over 200 videos ranging from Internet Safety with Miss America to a user guide for the LYNX 5100 control. Better still, we’ve made it easy for you to share these videos on social media or download to your iPad™ or Android tablet. Simply select the option to download the format you want and you’re ready to go.

4. Honeywell: Smart House Safe Home End User Site
This is hands down the greatest sales tool we have created in more than a decade. While our main website is dealer friendly, offering drill downs to product specific information, this website was designed with end users in mind. The end user site uses brilliant graphics and showcases solutions so that they can easily find information on connected systems, see demonstrations and quickly gather all the information they need to make an educated buying decision. Current or prospective clients can use the site to learn more about ways to enhance their current system or download owner’s manuals.
