Honeywell CDMA radios save you time and money.

As cellular consumers, all of us have our perception of who has the best cellular network. We see the countless commercials with claims and catch phrases, but it’s all about coverage. Your interaction with a cellular network, dropped calls, voice quality, no bars or five bars shapes your perception.

Cellular coverage is vitally important to security professionals who depend on it to support security installations and RMR.  Lack of it can result in lost opportunity.

With the release of the new CDMA-L57 Radio* for LYNX Touch L5210 and L7000 systems, Honeywell delivers a full suite of CDMA communications solutions for our family of control panels. The CDMA-L57 joins the CDMA-X for VISTA and the recently released CDMA-L3 for LYNX Plus L3000. These radios feature Verizon 1xRTT technology, to give you more choices so you can reach more customers—helping to ensure the best possible signal strength.

A key benefit of the Honeywell CDMA radio series is time and labor savings.  The radios are pre-activated and they have a feature called DMU (Dynamic Mobile Update) bypass that allows initial registration outside of the Verizon Wireless native footprint, a real time saver.  Additionally, the Honeywell CDMA radios incorporate FOTA (Firmware Over-The–Air) which makes them remotely upgradeable so there is no need to roll a truck to perform a radio firmware upgrade.

When used with Honeywell Total Connect Remote Services, this solution also provides you with a great opportunity for RMR. More Carriers, more coverage and more customers are three great benefits of this new solution. We’d love to hear what you think in the comments below.
