At Honeywell, our focus on fire protection systems is one of the many important ways that we work to keep people safe every day. So, it’s important to us that we’re constantly innovating to provide consumers with the latest technology.

In the early part of this year, we’ve been busy updating our fire protection portfolio. Now, we’re finally ready to unveil what we’ve been working on! Here are the latest additions to our portfolio, giving you six reasons to take a fresh look at Honeywell Fire Protection Systems.

#1 : Xtralis VESDA-E VEP Aspirating Smoke Detection

The new Xtralis VESDA-E VEP® aspirating smoke detector system is taking smoke detection to the next level. It can not only sense smoke before it is visible to the naked eye, but it also has the unique ability to characterize particles, which allows for more thorough analysis and a more efficient alarm response. The system yields 1.5x greater sensitivity and offers 6x better dust rejection than the previous generation of products, resulting significantly reduced potential for nuisance alarms and related customer costs. It also features built-in Wi-Fi for remote detector access from smart devices to review and monitor status in real time with the iVESDA™ app.

#2: High-Level Interface

High-Level Interface is an integration with the SLC Integration Module that marries VESDA devices with Notifier Fire Alarm Control Panels, allowing the newly introduced VESDA-E series of aspirating smoke detectors to exchange information directly with the Notifier fire alarm control panels. This integration will be available later this year.

#3: Honeywell Silent Knight® Fire Alarm Control Panels

Honeywell Silent Knight is introducing four new addressable fire alarm control panels ranging from 100 points to 1,100 points. They enable you to connect up to 17 panels with single point access, allowing for lower monitoring costs. Additional features include dual path communications, a cellular side car option, a larger 40×20-inch display, support for SWIFT wireless detection, and full backwards compatibility. These panels will begin shipping later this year, so keep an eye out for more information to come.

#4: Honeywell Farenhyt Series Black Fire Panels

The Honeywell Farenhyt Series Black Fire Panels have a flexible architecture so you can choose the ideal system size and cost for your installation. They will allow a network up to 32 panels, and feature combination emergency communications, carbon monoxide and fire detection all in one panel, as well as compatibility with all SWIFT wireless devices. The new Farenhyt panels are eVance™ ready for faster serviceability, and are also available in red. These panels will begin shipping later this year.

#5: Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell Fire Alarm Control Panels

Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell is introducing the Fire-Lite® Endurance Series, a line of six new fire alarm control panels that offer more communications options — built-in IP/POTS as well as cellular side cars — and a USB port for easy programming and firmware updates. All panels support SWIFT wireless devices and offer 4 programmable buttons for convenience and efficiency while still being backwards compatible. These panels will begin shipping later this year.

#6: System Sensor L-Series AV Notification Appliances

The new System Sensor L-Series AV Notification Appliances are a line of indoor chimes, horns, strobes, chime strobes, 2-wire horn strobes, speakers and speaker strobes designed to limit integrator overhead through reduced SKUs. The series is designed for easy customization, including snap-on bezels with language and applications options, intended to reduce labor and inventory costs. They cover the full range of candela settings while offering up to 35% reduction in power consumption across all settings.

Honeywell Fire Protection Systems in Action

We’ll be featuring all of these new systems at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Conference and Expo, June 4-7, 2017 in Boston. Come visit us at our booth #517, or check out our Theater Presenation Schedule for more information!
